| Whatcom Opportunities Regional Center (“WORC”) is designated, by US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), as a Regional Center entitled to participate in the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Pilot Program. This designation enables foreign investors to apply for Green Cards upon making an investment of $500,000 into a limited liability company formed by WORC. The investment monies will be applied to the development and operation of retirement facilities in Whatcom County Washington. |

Retirement communities provide independent and assisted living accommodation for active seniors. Currently, this industry in the United States boasts revenues of over $20 billion annually and shows significant potential for growth with the aging population; the number of people aged 65 and over in the United States is currently 34 million, accounting for 13 percent of the total population. That number is projected to grow to 69 million, or to 20 percent of the total population, by the year 2030. |
| As this generation ages and retires, an increasing number of people over the age of 75 will require some level of care or assistance during the final years of their lives. |
| WORC's first project is the development and operation of the Maple Street Retirement Community as an integral part 1010 Morse Square, Bellingham's first high rise residential tower. |
